On May 25-26 in the village of Severinovka, Odesa region, the 1st stage of the Ukrainian Mini-Rally Championship for the Liman Cup was held, and the Mykolaiv branch took an active part in it. On the track, located on the picturesque hills on the outskirts of Severinovka, more than 30 crews from all regions of Ukraine, in addition, crews from Turkey and Poland took part in the competition.

All participants must pass the special section “Lysinka” 6 times – three times on each side.

This year the high-speed section has undergone changes and will be new for both Odesa athletes and visitors, the updated part of the high-speed section is more than 10 km. It runs around the bed of the Kotyacha River, which is the left tributary of the Velykyi Kuyalnyk River and has a seasonal character.

The opening and closing ceremonies took place in Severinivka, near the House of Culture. On Saturday, the opening ceremony of the rally “Severin” took place, and on Sunday, May 26 – the closing ceremony.

The crew defended the honor of the emblem and flag of our company Oil Group in general and Mykolaiv branch in particular: Yevhen Hrynevych – pilot and Tetiana Hrynevych – navigator, in the car VAZ-2109 number 17. More than 10 crews could not withstand the stress of the struggle and tests of a difficult route. Unfortunately, our crew also suffered a sad fate. On the fifth lap, at the exit of a steep bend, the steering column clutch jammed and the car was thrown off the track. Only thanks to the reaction and skill of the pilot, no one was injured. The crew repaired the breakdown in a matter of minutes and returned to the track, but precious time was lost and as a result we finished seventh, although we were second all the time.
