Feedback from partners&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We publish an excerpt from the article with an interview with the Technical Director of Oil Group<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We continue a series of materials about PRISTA lubricants. Today, its partners who work with oils for trucks, buses, quarry and other special equipment, as well as for industrial equipment, tell about the advantages of the brand. In this segment, the use of consumables of inadequate quality causes huge losses. Therefore, their choice is extremely responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PRISTA brand has literally burst into the Ukrainian oils market in the last three years. The successful combination of European production, quality, chic appearance and affordable price along with good earnings for all levels of distribution allowed it to firmly occupy its niche. The company has been operating in Bulgaria for 25 years, today it is already a holding company that produces PRISTA oils. During this time, the brand has also developed a strong reputation in many countries of the world as a high-quality product at an affordable price. What was the key to success? Dynamic development was facilitated by a whole set of favorable factors along with successful decisions of the management: the personnel issue was successfully resolved at the source; the company was able to become the only serious manufacturer of lubricants in Bulgaria; in the first half of the 2000s, TEXACO owned part of the shares of &#8220;Prista Oil&#8221;, which also made an invaluable contribution to the dynamics of the brand. Today the company has become an international holding with divisions in 9 countries located on 3 continents. The holding owns 4 factories and 1 port terminal in Zmit, Turkey. Two plants are located in Bulgaria (plant in Rousse and lubricants plant in Sofia), one in Turkey (Izmit) and one in Uzbekistan (Fergana). A representative office of &#8220;Priest Oil&#8221; has been operating in Ukraine since 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conversation with the technical director of Oil Group went beyond the review of Prista products, so we publish it in the genre of an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; Volodymyr, what market segment does Oil Group operate in?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company operates in the B2B segment, respectively, our main positions are engine oils for trucks with heavy diesel engines and industrial lubricants for industrial enterprises. We are also present in the passenger car service segment, but it is not our priority. By what parameters did you evaluate the Prista brand when deciding whether to deal with it or not? Our company always considers the brand from two points of view. The commercial department considers the commercial offer, and the technical service considers the range and level of performance of lubricants. We have to understand whether they will be interesting to the end user and what market criteria will be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; How exactly do you assess the range and quality?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand level is assessed by the number of approved products from global equipment manufacturers. Accordingly, having studied all the positions, having received documentation from Prista Oil, we saw that the lubricants in the majority have a large number of approvals from Mercedes Benz, MAN, Scania, Renault, Volvo &#8211; this is the equipment that is currently present on the Ukrainian market. Based on this, we came to the conclusion that the motor group will be in demand, so we can work with it. The same work was done on the industrial group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; Please clarify the fundamental difference between tolerances and approvals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the number of proposals for lubricants on the market is very large, and some manufacturers of equipment (engines) are trying to tighten the requirements or put in order the documentation they issue. For example, Mercedes Benz has recently introduced a note that if the oil is officially approved by the company, it should be written as &#8220;MB Approval&#8221;. If it is not officially approved by Mercedes Benz, then such an entry cannot be used by lubricant manufacturers and they can, under certain conditions, write only &#8220;MB&#8221; in the compliance letter. In other words, if the documentation and packaging says &#8220;MB Approval&#8221;, then Mercedes Benz really tested this oil. If the lubricant manufacturer does not want to test its product with the engine manufacturer, because it is quite expensive, it has the right, based on the information of the supplier of chemical materials for oils, to assign its product &#8220;automaker approval&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; How is the quality of base oils used to produce this commercial oil controlled in this case? After all, you can take &#8220;super additives&#8221;, but &#8220;chemize&#8221; with a cheap base\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the world of high-level lubricants, the main competitors are additive manufacturers, and they are interested in testing their additives on different types of base oils. And as a result, when issuing the formulation, they indicate that these additives have been tested on such types of bases of such manufacturers. By default, other types were not tested. And, accordingly, if you use these base oils to these additives, only then you can get the desired level of quality of the finished product. In order to expand the attractiveness of its additive package on the market, the additive manufacturer is interested to identify new and new base oil producers and ask for their samples for testing with its additives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; How long have you been selling Prista for commercial vehicles?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; What is the reason for the success of the brand from a commercial point of view?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The demand for the positions of the Prista product range is due to the fact that since 2014 another crisis has begun in the country, and it has become increasingly difficult for customers to buy expensive products. And Prista Oil&#8217;s proposals were very well suited to the changed market situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; Did your customers who bought expensive oils easily switch to Prista?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0No, it&#8217;s not easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; What should happen to the client&#8217;s mind, besides not having enough money in his pocket\u2026?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer must receive an express professional answer from the Oil Group seller whether Prista products will work well in the conditions in which their equipment is operated. &#8211; How can you guarantee this? You can say everything\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not as complicated as it seems at first glance. In most cases, the problems with the operation of lubricants are that the engineering and technical staff working at Ukrainian enterprises does not have a very high level of technical knowledge in the field of lubricants. And, not wanting to delve into the essence of the products in order to relieve themselves of responsibility, they simply take the names from the lubricant card that are prescribed there. But if we take the technical documentation from the equipment manufacturer, take the specification of the lubricant and professionally explain to the client that this is the same as the equipment manufacturer wrote in the requirements, and also give contacts of customers who already use this product, the client can adequately make a decision based on this. And this is usually enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; And you know this craft well enough\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our company has twenty years of experience with lubricants, all employees are periodically trained, we regularly communicate with various suppliers of lubricants. And the manufacturer itself, if interested, provides technical information on the basis of which you can properly operate the products. And in these matters, representatives of Prista Oil, and in particular Prista Oil Ukraine, are on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; How do you evaluate the Prista range of lubricants for commercial vehicles?
